My Thoughts on the LG Double Play

I have been on TMobile for the last 5 years and have been very happy with their service.

As an avid cell user, I am always checking out their latest and greatest phones, looking for ones that meet my needs and will be a step up from my current phone. I am also very, very, very picky about my electronics. Did I mention I was picky? ;o)

When I came across the LG Double Play, my first thought was hmmm...play? As in fun? So this phone is double the fun? Nice!

I use my smartphone for a variety of purposes, so it is very important to me that any potential new phone meet all of my needs. The following are the most important functions that the LG Double Play meets.
  • Texting. I do this. A lot. I send and receive over 3,000 texts a month. I do not like talking on the phone for the most part, since my job is in customer service and I talk to people all day long. Ease of texting is a must. I need to have both the swype function as well as the keyboard. Since I am currently dealing with an injury to my right hand/arm, I am unable to use a keyboard. However, the LG Double Play offers a second touch screen in the middle of the keyboard, which would make texting very easy for me! The phone also supports Cloud Text and Group Text. This makes content sharing much easier, especially when you are on the go!
  • It is a multi-tasking phone. I can surf the internet and text or facebook or email at the same time. It has the primary touch screen, which is a nice size at 3.5 inches and it also offers the secondary touch 2 inch screen on the qwerty keyboard. I can check my email in one screen while watching a you tube video on the other!
  • Taking pictures. I often do not have my regular camera with me, so it is uber important that my smartphone not only have a camera, but that it have a quality camera! With all of the blogging and projects I do, I need something handy and that takes pretty pictures! The camera is a 5 megapixel with an LED flash and also offers a 720 HD video/audio recorder, which comes in handy for recording spur of the moment stuff.
  • It is an Android 2.3 (Gingerbread)
This phone would make my daily cell use so much easier. My cell is always with me and since I am often spending so much time sitting in the doctor's office waiting to be seen, I could be keeping up with my facebook, emails and blogging with so much more ease. The functions and possibilities of the things I can do with this phone are literally endless!

LG DoublePlay™

This phone is only available through TMobile, which does not pose a problem for me since I have been a happy TMobile user all of these years.

So tell me, how much time do you spend texting or on social networks a month with your phone? Do you think the dual screens would make your life easier, too? Leave me a comment and let me know I am not the only one thrilled over the idea of two touch screens!!
